Ecuador's Tourism Industry Launches #EcuadorAwaitsYou Campaign to Showcase its Beauty and Culture

Over 100 travel and tourism providers in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, including hotels, lodges, DMCs, and cruise operators, have joined a new initiative called #EcuadorAwaitsYou, a multimedia media campaign that showcases the beauty of Ecuador and aims to inspire travelers to keep Ecuador in mind when it's time to travel again.

The campaign consists of a royalty-free photo and video library, with new content added every week, including 80 new photos and one new video. Some of the videos will be ready to publish, while other is b-roll footage that can be edited as needed.

Ecuador is among the South American countries hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. And the loss of tourism has put hundreds of thousands of people out of work and could cost the country billions of dollars in much needed tourism revenue. The Galapagos Islands have thus far escaped the worst ravages of the pandemic from a health perspective, but with tourism on hold, the vast majority of the archipelago's 30,000 residence are out of work and struggling to get by. Once it's safe to travel again and international tourism resumes, we hope you'll consider a visit to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. ​
