IGTOA Provides $8,000 for White-vented Storm Petrel Research and Conservation

In 2014, IGTOA will donate a total of $65,000 to four different organizations working to protect and preserve the Galapagos Islands. Friends of Galapagos New Zealand will receive $8,000 to carry out a study of the White-vented storm petrel, a little understood species which could face extinction.

IGTOA Donates $20,000 to the Charles Darwin Foundation

In 2014, IGTOA will donate a total of $65,000 to four different organizations working to protect and preserve the Galapagos Islands. The Charles Darwin Foundation, which operates the Charles Darwin Research Station, will receive $20,000 in general operating funds.

WildAid Receives $27,000 from IGTOA to Combat Invasive Species

In 2014, IGTOA will donate a total of $65,000 to four different organizations working to protect and preserve the Galapagos Islands. WildAid, which is spearheading a massive initiative to improve biosecurity in the Galapagos, will receive $27,000 to provide specialized training to biosecurity personnel and to fund a media campaign designed to educated visitors and Galapagos residents about the problem of invasive species.

In 2014, IGTOA will donate a total of $65,000 to four different organizations working to protect and preserve the Galapagos Islands. Ecology Project International will receive $10,000 to provide hands-on conservation training for Galapagos teens.
